Cairns Hockey is happy to announce the addition of walking hockey to our Hockey Summer Program.
Walking Hockey will take place on Tuesday afternoons from 4:30 – 5:30 pm starting on Tuesday 27th of October. This program will run for 6 weeks till Tuesday 1ts of December.
Cost: $22 Hockey Queensland fee applies if not registered in winter season. Players must register and pay Hockey Queensland fees online.
Venue: Cairns Hockey, Cairns North.
WALKING HOCKEY RULES
• All players are restricted to walking-ie one foot on the ground at all times
• The ball must stay below knee height
• The stick must remain below waist height
• The ball can only be pushed- No hitting
• Games are played for 10 mins in one direct only
WHAT TO BRING
Joggers with good grip; a water bottle; a hockey stick ( don’t worry if you don’t have one, we have some for you to borrow); shin guards if you have them.
